Fertilizer Management in Modified Mat Nursery

PrintPrintSend to friendSend to friend

1. Five days after sowing of seed on modified mat nursery, remove the cover and flood the nursery. Maintain 1 centimetre water level around the mats.

2. Then, drain the water 2 days before removing the seedling mats for transplanting. If seedlings show yellowing after 7 days, it means that they lack Nitrogen.

3. It can be solved by sprinkling the seedlings with 0.5% urea solution. Simply dissolve 1.5 kgs of Urea in 300 litres of water and sprinkle over 100 m2.
